Embassy serves 893 Filipinos during EMBASSY ON WHEELS in Dammam in November

A team from the Philippine Embassy in Riyadh traveled to Al-Khobar on 16-18 November 2011, 400kms from Riyadh, to render outreach consular services.

The eight (8) members of Embassy on Wheels Team left for Alkhobar, Eastern Region on 16 November 2011. The consular services were held at the Aljazeera International School in Dammam.

This consular outreach trip provided services to 893 Filipinos.

The team led by Consul Mohd. Noordin Pendosina Noor Lomondot was able to encode 616 e-passport applications and processed 133 notarials, 5 authentication, 27 reports of birth, and 111 passports amendments / extension.

Ambassador Ezzedin H. Tago thanked the community leaders and volunteers in the Eastern Region who helped the Embassy’s consular team.

The next Embassy on Wheels will be on 8-9 December 2011 in Aljazeera International School in Dammam with address at Rakah, Alkhobar, Eastern Region, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. The list of appointments has been posted on the Embassy’s website [http://www.philembassy-riyadh.org]. The EOW will be serving those who requested for appointments in October. The December EOW will be the 12th for 2011, and the last for the year.

For 2011, the Embassy conducted 18 EOWs, 12 of them were to either Al-Khobar or Dammam. The 18 EOWs exceeded the number of consular outreach services conducted in 2010 (14 EOWs) and 2009 (16 EOWs). The Embassy also went to Sakaka, Hail, Buraidah, and Jubail.

The Embassy plans to increase the frequency of EOWs for the Al-Khobar / Dammam area for 2012.
